Street corners get you in trouble.

She showed up blowin’ a bubble.

“Don’t you know it’s dark?” she wondered.

“I’m standin’ under a light pole aint I?”  I thundered.

“Boy you’re a mess, I had to ask.”

“You’re the one wearing a mask.”

“You know nothing, Mr. wood grain shoes.”

“I hear your heart singin’ the blues.”

I said: “Just leanin against this pole.”

Car pulls up, man get’s out, shoves her in.

“Don’t let me catch you with my gal again!”

Two shots rang out. He fell at my feet.

she yells: “Get in!”,  We got somethin’ to eat.
