A cost I can Afford

Many times we just stay in, because it’s more convenient. We consider a ton of causes and reasons, the effort is way to inconvenient. Like they say, if it was easy everyone would be doing it. Matter of fact if they could just leave the house and merely make it to the car, they could breathe again. The alternative is to stay put behind the curtain frozen in place.

This may require prayer or reading about a Bible character that was willing into step into the mission of God, come what may. Pray asking God to give you the next step, or the reason why you should. We wait for the next big cause or reason to move out on. Maybe God is just asking you to take small steps until you arrive at the finish.

I/we wish we had stepped/walked/ran earlier but it is what it is. now is the time to Repent, Rebuild and Revive.

Hey teenager, young adult, even senior adult. Revival is the word your looking for. Life into these dead bones. Check out Philippians 4, in the Bible. The book of Joshua. the story of King David. Catch hold of the heart, and vision for what lies ahead. Walk in it and carry it out. We can build/create something together as we are knit together in love.

No matter the difficulty or the cost of the stepping out into the mission of God. “Just do It.” Afraid? Yes but I’m going anyway. Let’s do this…to the glory of God!

Psalm 42

As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So pants my soul for You, O God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God?
My tears have been my food day and night,
While they continually say to me,
“Where is your God?”

When I remember these things,
I pour out my soul within me.
For I used to go with the multitude;
I went with them to the house of God,
With the voice of joy and praise,
With a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast.

Why are you cast down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him
For the help of His countenance.

O my God, my soul is cast down within me;
Therefore I will remember You from the land of the Jordan,
And from the heights of Hermon,
From the Hill Mizar.
Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls;
All Your waves and billows have gone over me.
The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime,
And in the night His song shall be with me—
A prayer to the God of my life.

Innocent December

The Richest Man in Town!

Through the fog I vaguely remember,

further back in time, an innocent December.

There were gloves and warm hands,

bare trees and parade bands.

Magical season, the gift list a must.

Much more Christ is born, in Him I trust.

I heard of the Son born in the manger,

Yet ignorant of children that lived in danger.

The baby came to die for our sin.

Other children with no gifts…again.

All of December, waiting for Christmas Eve,

enjoying church plays to help us believe.

Already having a room full of toys,

unaware of cold little girls and boys.

Now to share the gift of Christ, so kids remember

warmer days,  Jesus and an innocent December.

Sad Clowns

While others need laughter

Its not what I was after.

Painted on tears

expose my fears

wearing a giant smile

crying all the while.

waving hands in the air

voice within says life is not fair.

A man said follow me, pick up your cross.

Now I have joy counting the past as loss.
